​                           $1,000 Church Challenge

       $1,000. What could your church do with $1,000?  I know what I'd do if someone gave me a chance to receive $1,000 for my ministry or my church.            

        WELS Lutherans for Life is hosting the Treasure Life fall fundraising events on Friday, October 11, 2019. There is a luncheon and a banquet on that day to tell people about our ministry and give them a chance to contribute.

        One of our partners challenged us to get 1,000 people to attend the events. He asked us to invite all the church leaders from around to attend. Can you attend and bring your leaders with you?

        Fill a table of ten (10) with leaders, spouses, and other *“new people” and you will be entered into the drawing for the $1,000 REWARD to use in your ministry. The second church drawn will receive the $500 REWARD.
For each fully attended table you will have an additional entry. Each church is eligible to receive only one reward.
 
        I hope to see you Treasure Life with us on October 11 to learn more about this ministry and share the experience with your church leaders!

        You will be responsible to fill a table with guests from your church and act as host during the lunch or dinner. This includes distributing the donation envelopes/pledge cards at the appropriate time, collecting the envelopes /pledge cards and returning them to the registration table  at the end of the banquet.

Each table seats 10 guests.
There is no charge to host a table.

The program, includes
     * a personal story of Amber Albee Swenson.
     * updates about the vital work WELS Lutherans for Life accomplishes every day.
     * amazing technology of ultrasound.
Our goal is to inform our guests about the ministry while inspiring them to financially support the mission.
Our time together: Both the lunch and the dinner meal & program will last approx. 2 1/2 hours. Our goal is to end each event on time allowing people to leave (by 2:30 pm & by 9 pm).
Your role as Table Host: You're encouraged to:
  • Invite friends – When inviting, please consider those who are pro-life and might have a heart for a ministry like ours. Guests should be people you think might be a valuable addition to our base of supporters. Once you register it’s easy to invite friends through email. You can also mail invitation cards. Simply let us know how many you need and we’ll gladly send you a packet of invitations.
  • Register your guests (see buttons above send your guest list to the office).
  • Confirm your guests’ attendance by reminding them a few days before the banquet.
  • Arrive early – Please try your best to arrive at the beginning of the social gathering time to be ready to greet your guests as they arrive.
  • Distribute pledge forms – During the lunch or dinner you will be instructed to pass out pledge forms and you and your guests will be guided through its completion. All guests will be asked to consider making a financial commitment to the ministry.
  • Collect pledge forms from your guests, place them in the envelope, and return them to the registration table staff.
Once you register as a Table Host our Event Team will contact you with some instructions.
